The primary aim of our initiative is to provide clean and reliable water access to households in Bakifa by implementing a solar-powered water pump system. By harnessing solar energy, we intend to overcome the challenges posed by limited access to electricity and unreliable water supply in the community.

Abdulhamid Tahir Hamid is a dedicated advocate for environmental conservation and youth empowerment. As President of the African Union Commission Great Green Wall Youth Advisory Board (AU GGWI YAB) and CEO of the Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative (GECCI). Empowering Youth for Sustainable Development in North East Nigeria is a project is to empower youth in rural communities with the skills, knowledge, and resources to actively contribute to the achievement of the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Abdulhamid Tahir Hamid is a dedicated advocate for environmental conservation and youth empowerment. As President of the African Union Commission Great Green Wall Youth Advisory Board (AU GGWI YAB), he mobilizes young people across Africa to combat climate change and desertification. Serving as CEO of the Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative (GECCI), he leads global efforts to promote sustainability. As Chairperson of the Youth Climate Council Nigeria, Abdulhamid advocates for youth engagement in climate action at the national level. Recently joining the Youth UNESCO Climate Action Network (YoU-CAN) as a Project Assistant Volunteer.

John G. Deng was born and raised in Majak Ghoi village, Aweil- South Sudan. He began his school under the tree without teaching aid whereby volunteer teachers used charcoal as chalk until 2002 when peace negotiation started between the Sudan government and the Sudan people’s liberation movement (SPLM). In 2010, Garang moved to Wau where he completed his secondary school education at John Paul ii Catholic Secondary School. Holds a bachelor of science in Electrical engineering, Postgraduate certificate in Financial Engineering and Risk management and Geothermal energy master candidate at DKUT. Garang is the Executive director of Mawoudit Foundation.
Keeping the Environment Safe and Increasting Literacy Rate through Solar Energy in South Sudan (KSEIL-RaSS: This Project will address lack of electricity (SDG 7) and also contribute to quality education (SDG 4) as well as reduce the unemployment rate (SDG 1) in South Sudan. Our target beneficiaries are students from 12 - 23 years old who are primary leaving certificate and secondary education candidates and vulnerable people from 60-80 years old.

He is passionate about providing world’s deprived and underserved communities access to modern clean energy, global democracy and social entrepreneurship. He is an Alumni Fellow of the Halcyon incubator, DO School NYC Sustainable Cup Challenge and a 2015 Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society. With a background in LLB and Bsc Accounting & Financial Management, Derrick has experience cutting across Strategic Financial Planning, managing budgets, marketing and distribution strategy, business modelling and risk assessment.
OneLamp provides off-grid small medium enterprises and households in Uganda access to productive solar energy solutions through an affordable, mobile-enabled, prepaid lease-to-own model. This unlocks affordability through the removal of the upfront price barrier of large solar systems by enabling customers to pre-pay for energy over time using secure mobile money.

I am a bioengineer of food processes and founder of Houefa Green Energy. In order to preserve the health, to fight against deforestation and fossil gas, our solution is to help people specially women increase their access to renewable energy by providing them affordable smart mobile digesters made of local materials.
I am DOSSOU Bignon Priscille Bijou, bioengineer of food processes and founder of HOUEFA GREEN ENERGY, my goal is to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs 1, 5, 7 and 13 by reducing deforestation and greenhouse gases while creating jobs for women. I also work in the areas of education and especially the empowerment of girls and women through ROAJELF BENIN. Very social and active, I am a YALI alumni since 2018. I am an alumnus of the 2020 summer school on the water-energy-food nexus organized in Germany and Young Innovation Leaders (YIL) Fellowship organized in Nigeria.

These digesters can convert organic waste into biogas for cooking and lighting and also provide organic fertilizers. Our digesters are smart because of electronic components that indicate the level of charged wastes and produced biogas.
